"For I know the plans I have for you," declares the Lord. "Plans to prosper you and not to harm you. Plans to give you a hope and a future."
This verse has always been very special in my family, especially for my dad. With his birthday in April, I wasn't exactly sure what to get him. So, my mom and I conspired together and this is what we came up with.
It's very simple, but straight to the point. It looks great in him office. My little sister has now decided she needs one that is similar. I'll post that when I get it finished.

Gotta Love Owls!
I was recently asked to design a wall hanging for a little girls room that featured owls and wasn't too girly. This is what I came up with.
I love it! My friend that ordered it had given me a picture of a mural that her cousin was planning on using. I went off those colors and this is what I ended up with.

It's a bird!
My mom's birthday was yesterday and I always struggle with what to get her. So, a few months ago she pinned this picture( http://misswhit-tany.blogspot.com/2010/05/what-to-do-with-blank-canvas.html) that she liked while she was on Pinterest. Bingo!!! I found the PERFECT gift for her!
After I got up enough nerve to destroy an old book I had, this project turned into a lot of fun. I used Mod Podge and glued all the torn book pages to a 16 x 20 canvas that I picked up at Wal-Mart. After that dried overnight, I got out my new Cricut Expressions (thanks babe!) and cut out 5 of these super cute birds. I used Mod Podge again (maybe my new best friend) and glued down a ribbon for a branch, the birds and chipboard letters that I had colored with a marker.
This is what I ended up with....

I LOVE IT!!!!
I decided to go one step further and make some little birds that I copied from here (http://charcoalandcrayons.blogspot.com/2011/04/scrappy-sparrows.html). I followed the directions and this is what I came up with.

Too cute!

Dry Erase Board
It's your name!

I love these! What a great, unique way to celebrate your name. They make awesome wedding gifts, anniversary gifts or baby gifts.
This idea is definitely not mine. Jayma Malme at www.jaymamalme.blogspot.com is the one that inspired these pieces. Jayma is an awesome paper lover and I find lots of things I wish I could do on her blog. Be sure to check her out. You won't be sorry!
The prices for these vary. As with everything else, they can be customized to fit your space.
