Dry Erase Board

What a fun place to write your grocery lists, notes to your family, etc.

These dry erase boards are 12" x 12" and come with a dry erase marker. The price for these is $18.00.

I have held several classes on how to make these fun boards. The class is $12 per person.

It's your name!

I love these! What a great, unique way to celebrate your name. They make awesome wedding gifts, anniversary gifts or baby gifts.

This idea is definitely not mine. Jayma Malme at www.jaymamalme.blogspot.com is the one that inspired these pieces. Jayma is an awesome paper lover and I find lots of things I wish I could do on her blog. Be sure to check her out. You won't be sorry!

The prices for these vary. As with everything else, they can be customized to fit your space.

Hanging Memo Board

This is another style of memo board. This style is one sided and hangs from a ribbon. It comes with 3 handmade magnets. The price for this style is $12.

While visiting my in laws in Belpre, OH, my mother in law and I went shopping at Crafts 2000 in Parkersburg, WV. It happens to be one of my favorite places to go. I found these 12 x 12 tin sheets and decided they would make a cute place to hang recipes, pictures, etc.

Memo Boards

This is a 12" x 12" reversible magnetic memo board. On one side is an all occasion theme, while the other side features a winter/ holiday theme. Each board comes in a frame and has 12 magnets with it. The magnets are handmade also. The price for the boards is $28.

A thru Z

Altered letters seem to be all the rage write now. They look great hanging on walls. These letters are all approximately 12 inches tall and are made of wood. Each letter is painted and then covered with paper and embellished. The price is $8 per letter.

Any size letter can be special ordered.

Lunch Tins aka Treasure Boxes

+

These little boxes are so popular. They can be used for just about anything. I have friends that use them for recipe boxes and coupon holders or to store their jewelry or make up. The kids in my life love them to keep all their treasures or crayons or cars. Such a cute gift and so much fun to make!

Classes anyone?

As I am posting pictures of my creations, I am thinking of all the classes I have offered over the years. Pretty much everything you see can be taught in some way. Some of the projects are made quickly, while others (like the wreaths) require more time.

Please contact me if you have any questions about having a class taught at your house. I have been teaching some classes on and off here in Oxford. I will keep you updated on when those take place.

Under the main posts, I will be sure to add a piece about how much a class will cost. All prices will be per person.

What a gift!

This picture is a combination of several items. In the front you see the famous lunch tins aka treasure boxes. I can't quite remember where I got the idea for these. However, they are very, very popular. I made 8 just for Christmas! I will be sure to post more pictures of these before long. They are between $18 and $22 depending on what you want them to look like. The classes for these are $12 a person.

Behind the tin there are colored pencils, a sketch pad and a journal. On top of the tin is a matching pen. The colored pencils and sketch pad are sold for $8 a set as are the journal and pen. The classes for either of these sets are $5 a person. I will post more pictures of journals soon.

Stationery Sets

These stationery sets make an awesome gift. The original idea came from www.aaronsbooth32.blogspot.com. She made them with a pen and a small legal pad. I took that idea and expanded on it a bit. All my stationery sets include a pocket on the left side, a small notebook, pen, bookmarks and 2 medium and 2 small binder clips. The holder is tin and the notebook is handmade.

These sets can be customized to any color combination or theme you would like. They are $15 a piece. They can also be personalized.

I have done several classes on these cute gifts. The classes are $10 per person and include all item, even written instructions.

Curled Paper Wreath 2

This is the second paper wreath that I made for the Ross Craft Show. I followed the same instructions as the previous post.

Curled Paper Wreath 1

This is the curled paper wreath that everyone has fallen in love with. I made this one, along with another one, to sell at the Ross Craft Show.

The original idea isn't mine. I found the instructions here: http://www.forloveofpaper.com/for_love_of_paper/2010/11/watch-it-wednesday-curly-paper-christmas-wreath.html

They are pretty simple to make, just time consuming. You can curl all the paper while watching a movie and then it goes pretty quickly.

I am going to be teaching a Spring Wreath class in March (date to be announced). I will let you know when that date is set. The cost will be $20 and will include all supplies.

If you would like to buy a wreath, they are $30. You can customize it with the colors you want.

Welcome!

Welcome to my little piece of the world. I have had several people ask me about starting a blog to highlight my different paper crafts and creations. So, here you go.

The plan is to showcase my work, keep everyone up to date on my classes and hopefully do some tutorials. I'll also talk about my family, I'm sure.

By the way, Emmy Cate Designs is after our girls, Emily and Catherine. Emmy is almost 11 and Cate is 8 1/2. Add to the mix Ben, who just turned 2, and it is a busy place. Dallas (my hubby) and Bailey (the wonder dog) round out the crew.

So, sit back and enjoy. It should be fun!

And, please excuse the pictures. Most of these are older photos taken from awhile ago. I'm working on taking better ones.
